Why sensor size matters
Larger sensors capture more light, which generally means better low-light performance, shallower depth of field and higher dynamic range — for a given lens and framing.
Crop factor
The crop factor tells you the full-frame-equivalent focal length. A 35mm lens on an APS-C body (1.5×) frames like a ~52mm lens on full frame.
